- How a laser cutter works.
- Cutting, line engraving and fill engraving,
- Using Inkscape to produce cut-files
- Material choice
- 2D to 3D, joining and jointing techniques.
- Concentrated help and support for prototyping and refining your own designs
Is the cost of materials included?
Yes, plywood and acrylic will be available for you to cut and take home with you. However, if you have a different material in mind that you'd like to try out, bring it along.

When & Where
A Design Engineer for Def-Proc Engineering, I have spent the last 5 years working on using 2D manufacturing techniques, like laser cutting, to produce and prototype 3D objects. I work freelance on prototype and small-run production for artists, startups, individuals and businesses. I am currently the Technician-in-Residence at DoES Liverpool and I teach laser cutting, 3D printing and Arduino microcontroller development to beginners.
