You will learn how to:

- How to ink up your type
- Operate a Vandercook / Farley / Korrex proofing press & Adana 8 x 5 platen press
- Become familiar with printing terminology & best practice
The Print Project has been delivering workshops for over five years at events, festivals and educational establishments. Our workshops are informative, creative and fun experiences for the curious or mad keen printaholic that you may be / may know.
The workshop takes place at our well stocked workshop in Shipley, West Yorkshire, where you will have access to 1000’s of pieces of wood & metal type to create your very own unique piece of work using a time honoured process, using the best equipment for miles around.
A full overview of the workshop will be provided prior to the event taking place. Lunch & refreshments will be provided on both days. Please advise us of any dietary requirements you may have.
Both the 'Intro to Letterpress' and 'Experimental Letterpress' are entry level but look at different ways of considering and exploring letterpress. There is no previous experience needed for either course and attending both courses provides the opportunity to produce two entirely different pieces of work.
There are 4 places on this course.
Refunds will only be issued if 5 days notice is given prior to the workshop taking place.
