Thanks to funding from Bolton CVS, The Proud Trust is inviting you to an afternoon of LGBTQ+ awareness training, encouraging you to make your Bolton based practice with young people even more inclusive. We will cover:
- LGBTQ+ identities, including appropriate and current language and terminology.
- Highlight the everyday challenges that are faced by LGBTQ+ young people, and the impact of this.
- Identify the legal, statutory and moral responsibilities that organisations have with regards to supporting LGBTQ+ young people.
- Help you to identity ways to make your practice and organisation inclusive and accessible for LGBTQ+ young people, giving you confidence to ask the right questions.
- Offer practical advice, support, signposting and useful resources for organisations working with LGBTQ+ young people.
There are ten places ringfenced for BLGC staff and volunteers (please book on with a BGLC email address), and fifteen further places at the massively discounted rate of £25 each. Please note that these paid for places are non-refundable.
