Intro to Lino Printing with Kirstie Williams
Explore the traditional relief printing process of lino printing to create your own unique prints onto paper and greeting cards.
During this workshop you will learn how to create your own design, carve your lino block using lino tools, and use inks and rollers to produce your own edition of prints.
You'll learn how to use hand burnishing methods of printing, without the need for a press.
The session will be guided step by step through the techniques and you will come away with lots of ideas for future projects.
This workshop is ideal for complete beginners in lino printing. All abilities welcome.
All equipment and materials needed during the workshop will be provided.
Please bring your own apron and wear old clothes as working with inks can be messy!
You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch or eat out locally in Meanwood.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
