Introduction to Linocut: Landscapes
Overview
Come and get creative with us as we dive into the timeless craft of linocut printing.
Perfect for beginners, this hands-on workshop will guide you through the basics of carving and printing as we take inspiration from the rolling hills, winding rivers, and ever-changing skies of Shropshire.
You’ll design and carve your own lino block, then print your unique landscape artwork by hand — a piece full of texture, character, and your own creative touch.
You’ll learn:
- How to safely use linocut tools and carve your first block
- Tips for turning simple sketches into bold, striking prints
- How to ink up and print your design by hand
All materials are provided. No experience needed — just bring your ideas and a love of the landscape.
Take a little time out, slow down, and make something beautiful inspired by Shropshire’s natural rhythms.
