Description

The workshop will cover the basics of using the Linux operating system.

Topics will include:
  • Working with files and directories (including setting user permissions).
  • Many common commands, including those for comparing files and searching through their contents.
  • Input and output streams and the creation of pipelines of commands.

Prerequisites: This workshop is aimed at new Linux users (or those wanting a refresher) so no prior knowledge of Linux is assumed.
