Overview
Getting started with command line Linux can be a daunting task for some. This course will introduce you to the basics!
This online course is designed to get you up and running with the basic commands needed to use our supercomputer, BlueBEAR.
The course is aimed at both research staff and research students to help you get the most out of BlueBEAR and as an introduction to the skills required for Software Carpentry courses.
The course outline is:
- Basics of logging in to remote systems
- Command line basics such as file creating, moving, deleting
- Linux file permissions
- Basic file editing from Linux
No experience necessary.
