About this event

Bringing a taste of Italy, this special course has been designed to help develop your artisan culinary skills as we create beautiful fresh pasta in our London kitchen...

Sara Ward will welcome you to Hen Corner with drinks and home-made nibbles. After an introduction to our time together you will have opportunity to stroll around the garden visiting the chickens and bees, then off to the conservatory and kitchen to get busy...

After collecting fresh eggs from the hens, we will make a pasta dough to cut into tagliatelle to be served with a garden pesto for lunch. We will also make filled pasta, such as ravioli or tortellini, which can be taken home to enjoy another day.

We are pleased to bring you this London pasta making course.

We are pleased to bring you this London pasta making course.

Recipes for the day may include:

  • Fresh Egg Tagliatelle
  • Garden Pesto/Roasted Tomato Sauce
  • Butternut Squash, Sage & Ricotta Ravioli or
  • Pork & Fennel Tortellini

Everyone goes home with a goodie bag including recipe sheets, their stuffed pasta and a jar of our pasta sauce.

‘From my perspective it was fabulous – really gave me the knowledge and confidence to make pasta and a sauce and I know I will use these skills in the near future.  The pesto sauce was also amazing, so will show that off asap!’ Sophie, October '16

‘Since moving into her West London home a few years ago, Sara Ward and her husband Andy have industriously set up Hen Corner, where they now have a stunning kitchen garden – with raised beds full of seasonal crops – fruit and nut trees, a flock of clucking hens and a beehive with busy bees hard at work making honey.’ Michele Jameson, Country Living Magazine

We are Hen Corner.

We love the bee keepers, the veggie bed diggers, the jam makers and cider drinkers, the chicken fanciers and the real bread bakers.

But not just in the deepest darkest countryside or the far, far away villages but right here in our cities and towns.

So, come on a course and join us on the journey…
