Introduction to Map Making
Event Information
About this Event
We have all probably used a map at some point in our life. Maybe we have used one to help us find the location of our nearest coffee shop or maybe we have used one to help us find our way around a computer game.
But do you know how they are made?
This webinar will introduce you to map making and talk through some of the art and science that goes into constructing a map.
This session will be designed to be suitable for children and adults alike - so feel free to bring your youngsters along, and get them excited about cartography.
We will also include a fun prize draw activity - all will be revealed in the session.
Paul Naylor is a cartographic design consultant for GeoDataViz, Ordnance Survey, with over 20 years of experience in creating maps and visualising data using a range of GIS, design and web applications.
The access link will be emailed via Eventbrite 2 hours as well as 10 minutes ahead of the session. Please check you spam folder.
