Introduction to Mental Health and Assessing Risk in Primary Care

This is event is for staff working in Primary Care in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire

Aim of this Event

We aim to cover the following learning objectives in this session:

• Overview of common mental health presentations in Primary Care.
• To review the social determinants of health impacting on mental health.
• Learn to assess Patient Risk.
• Practice case-based scenarios

Target Audience

This session will be useful to those who are involved in assessing patients presenting with mental health issues, in particular for Personalised Care roles (Social Prescribing Link Workers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Care Co-ordinators).

The meeting will be broadcast on the MS Teams platform. We recommend participants log on via a computer or laptop for an optimal experience.

This event is planned because respondents to the Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub (NATH) Primary Care Training Needs Analysis (TNA) 2024/25 suggested the topic as a local training need.
