Welcome to the Introduction to Mindful Photography with Rebecca.


Join us on Monday 14th July 2pm -4pm for a relaxing and creative experience. Hear about how you can combine mindfulness and photography.

No prior photography experience or skills are required—just make sure you have access to a camera or your smartphone. We will go offline to complete tasks so you can complete the photography tasks in your house or outside.


Rebecca will guide you through various photography techniques and mindfulness exercises to help you see the world in a new light. Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect with your surroundings and meet like-minded individuals. Come and explore your creativity in a safe space!


After the event we will invite you into an online project so that you can continue "looking and noticing".



Clothing: Please dress in appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather as you will be taking short walks outside. If mobility is an issue let us know in advance and we will support you with alternative but equally engaging activities.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an expensive camera or be a photographer?

No, all you need is something to take a photograph on like a smartphone or camera. Mindful Photography is not about skill or equipment. It is about taking photos without judgement. We are a friendly group and cannot wait to welcome you.

What happens after the session is finished?

You will be invited into an online community project. You can also join us at other Rise to Thrive events in the area.

Is this like therapy?

We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.

Will you be using my images?

We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own. If you decide it upload your image to our joint facebook group it will be your choice with no pressure at all to do so.
