Introduction To Mindfulness For Runners & Walkers - 5 week course
Overview
The course consists of 5, 90 minute group sessions over zoom. Suitable for any level of mindful experience this course will introduce mindfulness with a specific focus on adding mindfulness to your running or walking. You will develop the skills to be able to be in the moment with your run which could lead to greater enjoyment or enhanced performance, as you free yourself form mental and emotional blocks. Week 1 - Understanding mindfulness and the mechanisms that support sport performance & enjoyment. Starting a mindful practice.
Week 2 - Continuing mindful practice. Considering our inner voice. Mindful movement.
Week 3 - Mindful walking & running. - Finding anchors to the present.Week 4 - Building on our home practice. A practical session exploring ways of bringing mindfulness to walking.
Week 5 - Building on practice and making a plan.
