Introduction To Mindfulness For Runners & Walkers - Online Course
In this 5 week course you will develop a mindfulness practice with expert guidance from Dr Gemma Applegarth. The course consists of 4 x 90 minute group sessions plus an individual review over zoom. It is suitable for any level of mindful experience from beginner to moderate. The course will introduce mindfulness with a specific focus on adding mindfulness to your running or walking. You will develop the skills to be able to be in the moment with your movement which could lead to greater enjoyment or enhanced performance, as you free yourself form mental and emotional blocks.
Whatever your goal, from improved times to simply being more present with running or walking, this could help you unlock your potential.
Week 1 - Understanding mindfulness and the mechanisms that support sport performance & enjoyment. Starting mindful practice.
Week 2 - Continuing mindful practice. Mindful movement.
Week 3 - Mindful walking & running. - Finding anchors to the present.
Week 4 - Building on practice and making a plan.
Within a month of week 4 - Individual 60 minute zoom session.
Next Course - Starts September 3rd 2025, includes 10th September, 17th September & 24th September. Plus 1 individual session, date to be arranged with you. 6.30 - 8pm.
