Join our Mindfulness Taster Session, and learn both traditional meditation techniques and modern Mindfulness based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for stress reduction. MBSR as taught and designed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the stress reduction clinic at the University of Massachusetts is a scientifically proven method that helps anyone lead a better and happier life.
You will have the opportunity to learn about the history of mindfulness practice and learn the techniques used in our 8-weeks MBSR course. The techniques will include
- Mindfulness of Breathing meditation
- Body Scan
- Breathing Space
- Mindful Movements
The taster session and the courses will be conducted by our Mindfulness teacher Bhante Rewatha Thero, who is an experienced meditator for more than 30 years, from the Glasgow Mindfulness Centre and Scotland's Buddhist Vihara.
This session is free and open to everyone. Donations are welcome to cover the costs.
