Event description

Description

“Mindfulness means paying attention, in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment and non judgementally”                                                                                                                      John Kabat Zinn

Mindfulness offers us a way to develop awareness and live more fully in the present moment. Modern evidence based mindfulness shows the beneficial effects that it can have on physical and mental wellbeing and in relationship with ourselves and others.

This course aims to offer participants an understanding of what mindfulness is and a starting point to developing their own mindfulness practice. The training includes a variety of practical mindfulness exercises to engage everyone, with the aim of encouraging participants to experience and discover the many different ways that mindfulness can become a “way of being”.

The course will explore and demystify what mindfulness is, the qualities involved in practice and the benefits of using it. Using a wide range of techniques and discussion, participants will understand how to develop their awareness of the present moment and how to apply mindfulness to their day to day life.
