Come join us for a fun and creative workshop where you'll learn the art of Modern Calligraphy. This hands-on event will take place in person at CV23 0DU, so mark your calendars for Saturday 10th May!
This is the perfect opportunity to explore the art of beautiful handwriting, slow down, learn new techniques and leave with your own personalised creations. Join me and I'll guide you through the process of creating Modern Calligraphy using a dip pen and ink.
This workshop is for beginner learners. During this event, you'll be guided by calligraphy artist Joanna who will teach you the basics of this beautiful lettering technique. You will be introduced to inks, nibs and papers most suitable for beginners and guided through a series of warm up exercises introducing you to upstrokes, pressure variations, loops and much more. Through step by step demonstrations you will be shown how to create and join letters allowing you time to practice as you go.
All of the materials that you need for the day are provided in your welcome pack and you'll have your own nib and holder to take home with you at the end of the workshop so you can continue to create and practice your lettering.
Refreshments are provided, please bring a packed lunch that you can store in the fridge.
Skill level - suitable for beginner learners. Please are limited to 10 students per class so that you can have lots of individual guidance.
