Welcome to the Rock! Come along and discover Newfoundland in this Come From Away inspired Musical Theatre workshop!
Learn a vocal and basic dance routine to Welcome to the Rock from this award winning, West End, and Broadway musical.
If you enjoy the workshop and would like to enrol for the remainder of the course you will be given the opportunity to do so as long as spaces are still available.
No experience is necessary! Just the willingness to have fun and give it a go.
If you choose to sign up for the remainder of the course you will be led by Stage & the City’s Musical Director Jack Holliday who will guide you through a selection of musical theatre numbers, working on the essential components of acting, singing and dance. You will learn all the tips and tricks to performing in a musical and what it takes to keep an audience entertained. This is a great fun and fabulous way to learn three disciplines in one. An upbeat course that will have you singing, dancing and acting in no time.
We understand you may be a bit nervous if this is your first time, but classes are taught in a fun and supportive environment. Most of the singing will be done as a group but there are opportunities for solos!
It doesn’t matter how old you are (as long as you’re over 18) you’re never too old to try something new!

This course will be delivered each Tuesday evening and will suit anybody who loves the idea of performing in a musical but has no or little experience. For those that have already completed an Introduction course with Stage & the City, or an alternative elsewhere, we suggest you look at our Musical Theatre for Beginners course or even consider auditioning for our Musical Theatre Troupe.
Please note, if the course becomes fully booked before your workshop you will not be able to attend, so if you are sure you would like a place on any of our courses, it is best to secure your place by enrolling.
