Our 12 week Introduction to Musical Theatre course started on 18th January 2022, but it's not too late to join! We know people are nervous about venturing out at present so we are offering the first few classes as a £10 taster.

Enjoy being with people within a Covid Secure and fully risk assessed environment which adheres to current government guidelines.

This course will be delivered each Tuesday evening and will suit anybody who loves the idea of performing in a musical but has no or little experience. For those that have already completed an Introduction course with Stage & the City, or an alternative elsewhere, we suggest you look at our Musical Theatre for Beginners course or even consider auditioning for our Musical Theatre Troupe.

Over the following 12 weeks you will work with Stage & the City’s Musical Director Jack Holliday who will guide you through a selection of musical theatre numbers, working on the essential components of acting, singing and dance.

You will learn all the tips and tricks to performing in a musical and what it takes to keep an audience entertained. This is a great fun and fabulous way to learn three disciplines in one. An upbeat course that will have you singing, dancing and acting in no time.

We understand you may be a bit nervous if this is your first time, but classes are taught in a fun and supportive environment. Most of the singing will be done as a group but there are opportunities for solos!
