Introduction to Oil Painting- Colour & Abstraction

Come and join this introductory session and discover oil painting. We will look at the abstract landscapes of Etel Adnan (1925 – 2021)and explore how to colour mix and apply paint with a palette knife. In the afternoon, there will be a chance to create your own abstract landscape composition. The basic techniques of oil painting will be explained, so if you have never tried oil painting before, this is the class for you!

This will be a fun and friendly class with all materials and tuition provided. There will be hot and cold drinks available to buy from the bar but you will need to bring your own lunch.

Suitable to people who are complete beginners as well as those who have some experience of painting.
