Introduction to Open Water Swim - Gaddings Dam
Sat 29 April 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
Introduction to open water swim is aimed at adult swimmers who wish to experience the joy of swimming in open water. This session is ideal for triathletes, competitive or leisure swimmers - minimum swim ability is 100m (4 x 25 lengths).
Meet outside The Shepherds Rest pub, before the steep climb upto Gaddings. Sturdy shoes essential.
There is a shoreside introduction, safety briefing etc followed by aclimitisation and leisurely swim. For your own comfort, and safety wetsuits are recommended (compulsory if the water is less than 14 degrees).
Numbers are limited to ensure that your experience is a relaxed and positive one.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me direct on 07834727494 or on my Swimease facebook page.
Introductory sessions are also available at Salford Quays.
Your session is led by a qualified Open Water Coach and NPLQ Open Water Lifeguard. However, open water swimming poses both obvious and often hidden dangers. Numbers are limited to ensure your safety, participation however is at your own risk.
