About this event

  • Event lasts 5 hours

In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the beauty of Islamic geometry, inspired by patterns such as those found in the Eastern lands.

Using traditional tools - a pencil, compass and ruler - you'll begin by drawing an underlying grid, from which beautiful patterns will emerge. You'll learn how to extract patterns from the grid, transferring the design to create a larger composition, and finally paint the patterns to bring them to life.

No experience needed, just a fascination for patterns and colour.

Ticket price includes all equipment and materials.

Hat Works Café will be open, serving fresh light lunches, hot food, delicious baked treats and drinks for you to enjoy. You’re also more than welcome to explore our exhibition and retail collection.

Experience a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in our spacious cafe and studios at Stockport Hat Works. Enjoy the freedom to express yourself and feel the benefits of creativity, connect with fellow art enthusiasts, and take home something to be proud of.
