The Diocese of Chester is offering a new resource to support clergy in their ministry, in partnership between the diocesan Counselling service, the Ministry team and the Institute of Pastoral Counselling and Supervision (IPCS).

This course aims to equip participants to engage in pastoral supervision as supervisees. It will:

  • define what pastoral supervision is and how it is similar to and distinct from other disciplines which support ministry
  • help participants to understand the importance of reflection on practice in pastoral supervision for people-facing ministries
  • describe the process of a pastoral supervision session and provide an opportunity to observe it in action
  • explore the relative roles of supervisor and supervisee
  • practise supervisee skills.

Lunch and refreshments included.
