Description

A four-hour training seminar in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, the Filipino self-protection system seen in such films as the Jason Bourne series, and used by elite military, law enforcement, and private security personnel in 90 countries.

This seminar will provide a solid base in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, and some effective combative tools that you will be able to use right away. The seminar will cover:


* A brief history of the system, and its basic training concepts and philosophy

* Fundamental footwork and essential striking skills

* Stick and knife combatives, and their applications to empty hands, using the principles of counter/recounter and defence through aggressive counter-offence

* Firearm disengagement and improvised weapons

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Anyone aged 18 or over is welcome to attend, provided there is no physical or medical reason to prohibit martial arts training. By purchasing a ticket and attending the event, you confirm that you are 18 or over, and have assessed yourself to be fit and well enough to participate. Please consult a doctor prior to purchasing a ticket, if you are unsure whether you will be fit and well enough to participate.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds will be issued only if the event is cancelled.

What do I need to bring with me?

Rattan sticks and training knives and guns will be provided, but if you want to bring your own, feel free to do so. Bring sufficient water for four hours of intensive training, and men might want to consider a groin guard
