Introduction to Permaculture at Kingston Environment Centre

Permaculture works with nature to make a better world for all. By observing the natural world we can see a set of principles at work. Permaculture design uses these principles to develop integrated systems that provide for our needs of food, shelter, energy and community in ways that are healthy and efficient.

This foundation course will introduce you to permaculture design, looking at:

• observation techniques

• natural systems and patterns

• ethics and principles of permaculture

• permaculture design tools

The course is informative and interactive. You will leave having designed a permaculture space, putting into practice everything you have learned. Additionally you will have the grounding to be able to progress onto the full permaculture design course.
