This two-hour workshop will introduce new members of staff to personal tutoring at the University of West London. The workshop will cover:

• What is personal tutoring and why do we need it?
• The role of the tutor
• The role of the student
• The aims of group tutorial sessions
• Supporting transition into Higher Education
• Managing student expectations
• Establishing a good relationship with your tutees
