Event description

Course description

The course will introduce the participants to the basis of logging tool configurations and logging operations as well as basic well log interpretation and/or Formation Evaluation, which is a key discipline in petroleum exploration and production.

The course is designed for:

  • Exploration Geologists
  • Production Geologists
  • Well-site Geologists
  • Operations Geologists
  • Well Data Managers
  • Geophysicists
  • Petrophysicists
  • Geotechnicians

Learning objectives

  • To undergo a review of the logging tools and measurements made by the logging tools, and the transformation of the measured data into useful reservoir parameters such as porosity, permeability, water saturation and reserve estimations.
  • To understand the link between Petrophysics and seismic interpretation, seismic reservoir characterisation and Reservoir Modelling.
