Introduction to Pinhole photographySunday 28 February, 10am - 12.30pm or 1.30pm-4pm
Taking and developing photographs would have been a much more physical and hands-on process in Scottish artist E. A. Hornel’s time. For a taste of what this might have been like, join us for a special half day workshop exploring pinhole cameras. This is a back to basics workshop where you will experiment with pinhole cameras made from whisky tubes and card. We will learn about the basics of pinhole photography followed by the magical chemical process of developing black and white prints in the dark-room. No experience is necessary. Please bring long a whisky or a pringles tube with a lid. We will be working outdoors in Princes St Gardens for some of the time. With Artist Kit Martin.
Booking is essential.
