Description

An Introduction to Play Therapy

For practitioners in PVI and school settings

Play therapy is a form of counselling or psychotherapy that uses play to communicate with and help children, to prevent or resolve psychosocial challenges. Evidence suggests this type of intervention can help them towards improving pro-social skills, emotional modulation and trauma resolution.

This course is for anyone who works with children and is interested in a short introduction to the effectiveness of and the use of therapeutic play and play therapy methods. Participants will experience non-directive play therapy for themselves through exploration of the play therapy toolkit.
