This interactive workshop is designed to help educators and practitioners build inclusive, play-rich environments where every child can thrive. Grounded in the principles of children’s rights and wellbeing, this training explores the essential role of play in development and learning.

During this session, you will:

  • Discover the why behind play—its vital role in health, wellbeing, resilience, and social development
  • Learn about the UNCRC Article 31 and the child’s right to play
  • Explore the Play Principles, including the value of self-directed, intrinsically motivated play
  • Gain insight into Loose Parts Play and how it fosters creativity, independence, and inclusive learning opportunities
  • Engage in practical, hands-on activities and group discussions to explore how play can be made more inclusive in your setting
  • Leave with ideas, tools, and confidence to adapt play spaces and activities to better support all children—regardless of background, ability, or need
