This workshop is for Community Rail Network members who would like to improve/refresh their presentation skills. It is aimed at Community Rail Officers but may also be useful for partnership members or station adopters who are asked to give talks.

The workshop will cover:

• How to plan and structure a presentation/talk

• Identifying challenges for presentation/talks and how to overcome these

• Presenting with confidence

We will not specifically be covering how to use technology e.g. zoom, powerpoint although these will be touched on in the workshop topics mentioned above. Members could apply for a training bursary to attend IT training with specialist providers if this is needed.

The workshop will be delivered via Zoom. It will be participative and we will expect attendees to have their camera on during the session delivery. There will be short comfort breaks throughout the workshop and a slightly longer break at a mid-point.

We will send the Zoom link to participants once booking has closed. Please make sure you compete the whole registration form and check your email address carefully. If you do not receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite after this, please check your junk mail folder and then email training@communityrail.org.uk so we can check you are on the list.

Places are limited so we ask that only one person per member organisation attends in the first instance. If more than one person from your organisation books, and we have people on the waiting list, we will ask you to choose one delegate so that we can offer places to as many member organisations as possible.

Once the course is full we will open a waiting list. Please cancel your place as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so that we can offer it to someone else.
