- Are you responsible for practical maintenance of a church or chapel?
- Do you worry that you don’t know enough about buildings to do the right thing?
- Would you like to know how to spot and prevent common maintenance issues?
- Could you talk confidently to an architect, surveyor or builder about what needs doing?
Free help is available! Come to Stanley Pontlarge for an illustrated talk which will explain preventative maintenance on places of worship and how volunteers can contribute to this work. There will be a short working party/hands-on session at the end. If you look after a non-church building such as a Scout hut, the training will be useful too.
A trainer from the conservation charity Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings will take you through a simple, practical method of observing, recording and acting on basic maintenance issues.
The course is free of charge.
11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday 6th March 2017 at Stanley Pontlarge Church GL54 5HD
