Introduction to Prince Lee Boo: Art Workshop for Children and Young People
Event Information
About this Event
We would love to invite you to Art in the Park's ONLINE Introduction to Prince Lee Boo for children ages 5 and above!
This workshop is part of a series of sessions exploring the story of Prince Lee Boo which took place long, long ago when a Prince from the Palau Islands in the Pacific traveled all the way to London and lived in Rotherhithe in London in 1784.
Have you ever travelled far from your home? How did you feel? Scared? Excited? Homesick? We will use drawing exercises, movement and storytelling to explore the story and empathise with how the young prince would have felt.
YOU WILL NEED…
Lots of paper - can be any you have around the house - scrap paper, news paper, whatever you have will work.
Any drawing materials you have: pencils, coloured pencils, felt tips, charcoal, etc.
The session is PAY WHAT YOU CAN (suggested donation: £5).
The minimum donation for this session is £1. If this is not possible for you at the moment, please email us and we will send you the zoom link for free. All donations that we get will go towards our studio costs, payment for our artists, and our other free sessions that we run for schools, community groups and the public.
