Description

This course begins with several types of monoprinting, and then introduces relief and intaglio techniques using simple materials such as lino, card and plastic. You will learn to use two types of printing press but most of the techniques need no specialist equipment so you can continue working with them outside the course. Suitable for beginners and also students with experience who will have the chance to try more advanced techniques. Most materials are provided, but you may need to purchase some extra paper.

Rachel Cohen studied Art History (BA) at Sussex University and Fine Art (PG Dip) at Brighton. She has an MA in museum and gallery education from the Institute of Education, London. She learned printmaking at a private college in Treviso, Italy and at Kensington and Chelsea Institute in London. Rachel works with wide range of techniques and materials.
