Scotland is acknowledged as a leader in public procurement, ensuring that money spent by the public sector delivers economic, social and environmental benefits for our communities.
Understanding public procurement is vital for all staff working with public funds. This course is suitable for people starting out on their procurement career or who are new to public sector procurement. It is also beneficial for anyone with responsibility for managing low-risk/low-value purchases.
The course is presented by an experienced trainer, and is supported by group work on a Procurement Journey Route 1 case study. Training notes are supplied for reference.
On completion of this course, attendees will have gained knowledge of public procurement, and will understand key terms, concepts and the Scottish procurement landscape.
