Event description

Description

Join us at the LCBA Studio for a morning’s Introduction to Risograph Printing.

This workshop will give a comprehensive overview of the capabilities of riso duplicators for people with no prior experience of printing or setting up artwork. Participants will learn the ins and outs of the Riso machine so that they can go on to work independently on their own projects.

Workshop participants will learn how to prepare artwork and print from start to finish. A variety of different kinds of artwork will be explored to highlight how to hack the riso duplicator to your advantage. Participants will print text, photos, drawings and 2-coloured images on a variety of paper stocks and sizes. Riso duplicators are also excellent for printing artist books, so participants will learn how to make double-sided prints.

This is an ideal workshop for people to learn the skills to create their own greeting cards, artist books, pamphlets and posters. Those who have completed the workshop will have the opportunity to become Studio Members or Studio Pass holders to work independently, with occasional guidance, on their own projects at the LCBA studio.
