Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we all play a part in helping keep children safe. If you are thinking about working with under 25’s or volunteering with children and young people, this session provides learners with essential safeguarding knowledge.

We discuss the common types of harm and how to recognise when something isn’t right, as well what to do if you are concerned about a child or young person.

Who is it for?

Suitable for those with little or no child safeguarding knowledge or experience, this introduction session will help you to feel confident in your safeguarding responsibilities.

What will it cover?

With a combination of written text, case studies and video presentations, this workshop will cover:

  • What is Safeguarding?
  • Types of abuse / recognising the signs.
  • Passing on information.
  • Signposting and Support in Camden.
