Event description

Description

This course is for trustees of voluntary groups with charitable status. The course assumes some knowledge of the safeguarding of both children and adults, but will include some refreshing of the key messages and then explore the particular expectations of the Charity Commission in relation to the role and responsibilities of trustees.

The session will also include information to ensure charities have appropriate and updated safeguarding policies and procedures.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner have provided funded places for small groups (with incomes of £30,000 per annum or less), and organisations in receipt of Community Safety Fund grants in the financial year 2019/2020. Funded places are limited to two people per organisation.

There are also tickets available for medium sized charities and public and private sector organisations at a cost.

This training is endorsed by the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board. You will receive a certificate of participation once you have completed the training.

Refreshments: Tea, coffee and water
