Event description

Description

LJMU has recently subscribed to SAGE Research Methods (SRM), an extensive online resource supporting researchers in every step of a project, from writing a research question, choosing a method, gathering and analysing data, to writing up and publishing the findings.

It includes over 220,000 pages of content (books, reference works, and journal articles) and over 130 hours of video. The full range of methods used in the social and behavioural sciences are covered, as are many commonly used in science, technology, and medicine.

You can access SAGE Research Methods here: http://methods.sagepub.com/

This short introductory session will help get you started with SRM. It will provide an overview of what the platform offers, introduce the different resource types, and ways of using these to learn about a particular research method.

This is a hands-on session and takes place in an IT suite, so you will be able to test out the different tools (including a project planner and methods map), search for resources relevant to your research, and reflect on how you could use SRM to develop your knowledge of methods.
