About this event

    Working with printmaker James Vass participants will gain an insight into the colourful process of screen Monoprinting. Painting directly onto screens and using the screenprint process to make painterly and loosely styled images. We will be applying a Tall Ships theme to the course but participants can create images of their choice also.

    The workshop will take place on Saturday 12th July 2025, 10:00 - 17:00

    We are delighted to be hosting summer printmaking courses at the Peacock print studio. These cover an exciting and varied range of processes and ability levels to suit complete beginners right through to more experienced printmakers.

    We are passionate about making printmaking as accessible as possible and reducing barriers to participation as far as we can, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop their creativity.

    the worm: a space for art, is a contemporary visual art gallery in Aberdeen, Scotland. We showcase artworks from all over the world, focussing on printing and publishing. Our exhibitions show work by contemporary artists, fine art prints from our archives and objects related to Aberdeen’s rich print history. Entry is always free.

    On our print shop, we have a wide range of contemporary art prints for sale by local, regional and international artists, many of which have been published and editioned at the Peacock Visual Arts.
