Join the garden team to learn about the fascinating world of seed collecting, cleaning and sowing at our in person event, aimed at beginners.

In this workshop we will cover the basic theory of seed propagation, followed by hands on practical both in the garden and indoors, collecting cleaning and sowing seeds.

All materials and tools are included, and refreshments (tea / coffee / scone) will be provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements during the booking process.

Following the workshop why not have a wander around the garden, enjoy a light lunch in our tearoom or partake in a spot of retail therapy in our plant and gift shop.

Please note that the workshop will be held inside Branklyn House, there are six steps to negotiate to access the interior of the house. For the practical aspects we will be heading into the garden so bring suitable outdoor clothing. The activity will not involve any heavy lifting or bending, but secateurs will be used and some manual dexterity is useful.

Where can I park?

Car parking is available in the National Trust for Scotland car park situated in Fairmount Terrace (PH2 7AS) - it is a short walk (approximately 200m) from the car park to the garden entrance. Limited blue badge parking is available at the entrance to the garden (PH2 7BB).
