About this event
This workshop is an opportunity to learn about and practice some of the key elements of self-compassion. Self-compassion is a skill that can enhance our capacity for emotional wellbeing. Mindfulness is the first step to self-compassion—turning toward difficult experience (emotions, sensations, thoughts). Self-kindness comes next—bringing care and concern to ourselves. Finally we honour our shared humanity in the experience of imperfection. Taken together, the elements of self-compassion help comfort, and soothe ourselves but also protect and provide for ourselves during difficult moments in our lives.
