Event description

Description

One of the key skills for a data scientist is communication of information and in R that generally means shiny. Shiny is an R package that allows users to quickly build web interfaces to analysis without having to leave R.

In this workshop we will introduce the basics of shiny and by the end of the workshop attendees will be able to create simple applications, collecting user inputs and returning R outputs.

It is assumed that attendees are comfortable using the R language. Familiarity with data manipulation packages such as dplyr and tidyr along with visualization tools such as ggplot2 would be beneficial but is not necessary.

This workshop is being run by Mango Solutions as part of the Jean Golding Institute's Data Week.
