About this event
**This course replaces the Pastoring Singles course formerly offered
Delivered via Zoom, distance learning material and online tutorials, the course provides a biblical and practical philosophy for effective ministry to singles. It is suitable for ministers, singles ministry coordinators, men’s and women’s ministry leaders, anyone with leadership responsibilities for single adults in a local church setting, or anyone considering starting a ministry to singles.

Singleness and Equality within the Church
A Philosophy of Ministry to and with Single Adults
Characteristics of an effective ministry to Single Adults
The course will:
equip participants to minister effectively to singles though a specific singles ministry or through the existing ministries within the church
introduce participants to the vast opportunities and challenges of ministry to singles
equip participants with the know-how to give biblical responses to contemporary singles issues
demonstrate how to integrate effective ministry to singles into preaching, worship and events

Live teaching sessions via Zoom
Distance learning material by Global University
Monthly tutorial sessions from December to March
Global University is a worldwide distance learning pioneer of the Pentecostal tradition, which uses self-teach material, that makes learning easy yet thorough. For this course, you will receive a hard copy 214-page textbook with study guide, complete with interactive questions/answers, progress evaluations and self-tests/answers.
Assessment
Course participants will be required to:
One written assignment
One exam (pass mark 70%)

Revd David King
David has been Single Adult Ministry Coordinator for NTCG England & Wales since 2004 and has led singles seminars in the UK, USA and Belgium. He is a regular podcaster on Theology for Singles website , is the author of Faith for a Mate course and is pastor of NTCG Newlife Erdington in Birmingham.
Joy Adams
Joy has been on the Single Adult Ministry board of NTCG England & Wales since 2004 and is the local SAM Coordinator at NTCG Wood Green. She has led numerous singles ministry events ranging from Spiritual MOT weekend retreats, conferences, seminars and missions. She is a conference speaker and delivers training and prayer initiatives that empower singles and youth to pursue their purpose in God.
