Natasha Mortimer is a lead and technical designer who has over 10 years experience using CAD for design in Theatre, Immersive Events and Architecture.

Natasha will teach you how to import your 2D .dwg format CAD plan into Sketch Up, how to use entity info, layers (tags), groups and components for efficient drawing and editing, how to add materials and textures, and how to set up scenes with drawing styles to be exported for presentation.

You need no prior knowledge of Sketch Up to make use of this workshop however, it is strongly advised that you download Google Sketch Up 2020 (free) prior to the workshop and have a play around. You should also get a mouse with a scroll wheel if you don't already have one - it makes working in CAD much easier. Also good internet connection is vital. Natasha will provide a glossary of terms and some notes on the drawing tools to help you have a play around.
