A good understanding of the social or environmental problem that your social enterprise will be addressing is essential. You will identify what the root causes are, what effects it has on your community, who is affected by the issue both directly and indirectly and ultimately how your social enterprise will assist in the reduction of that social issue

It describes the organization's purpose and its overall intention. The mission statement supports the vision and serves to communicate purpose and direction to employees, customers, vendors and other stakeholders

A Theory of Change is a tool that shows an organization or project’s path from needs through activities, outcomes and social impact. Social entrepreneurs need to understand and describe the changes they want to make and the steps they must take to make it happen

Day 2 PM Funding

Like all businesses, social enterprises need a regular income stream to be able to achieve their social mission. However, there is often a misconception that social enterprises can survive through grant funding. A healthy and varied mix of income streams is needed to reduce the reliance on grant funding or contracts

Day 3 AM Social Impact Measurement

A social enterprises’ primary focus is to benefit society or the environment and is dedicated to making a positive change in a specific impact area. Understanding what this looks like and how to achieve this will offer the opportunity for improvements in delivery, further funding opportunities and raised visibility across stakeholder groups
