Course structure

- Morning Session: Understanding how social media works

We look at the world of social media and also social media around the world. China, for example, does not have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube, while India uses JioChat as well as WhatsApp. We will look at ways to reach as many people as possible on social media, both organically and via advertising. You will also learn the important ingredients of a social story and how to prioritise Facebook posts in your feeds to make sure that you don't miss important updates. Finally, we will look at how people behave on social media and how to engage them in as short a time as possible.

- Afternoon Session: How to create stunning visuals for social media

You must have figured out by now that most of the viral posts have one thing in common - they stand out visually. Yet, how do you create that eye-catching photo or video? There are principles and also apps that will help you to do that which we will explore in this session. You’re also welcome to share content ideas you may have and receive feedbacks.
