Introduction to Sonar and Fundamentals of Sonar courses - April 2026

Introduction to Sonar - Monday 13th April 2026 (9am - 4:30pm) and Tuesday 14th April 2026 (9am - 4:30 pm)

Description - This sonar course aims to provide you with a good understanding of the theory and practice of sonar technology, and its applications in the defence industry, environmental surveying and related fields; placing emphasis on the practicalities of sonar systems rather than on rigorous mathematical analysis.

Fundamentals of Sonar - Wednesday 15th April 2026 (9am - 5:15pm), Thursday 16th April 2026 (9am - 5pm) and Friday 17th April 2026 (9am - 2pm)

Description - This course is designed as a follow on to the Introduction to Sonar course. This course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of underwater acoustic principles, sonar technology and applications; underpinned by the physical principles and analysis.

Information regarding course timetable, booking accommodation in the area, public transport and parking will be provided upon registering on to the course. Please be advised that we can no longer offer free parking for these courses so you will need to pay for parking on arrival at the ticket machine, or in advance at https://pay.hozah.com/locations/1167. Lunch and refreshments are included in the course fee but delegates are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel and accommodation.
