Join us on this Introduction to sourdough making workshop and develop the skills to bake your own slow fermented loaves at home.

In this 2 1/2 hour workshop, we will demystify what a sourdough starter is, how to make your own and how to maintain it live and bubbly for you to continue baking for many years to come. You will be making from scratch bread dough following a sourdough process, shape a loaf and bake in a domestic setting.

You will take home the bread baked on the day and dough for you to bake at home.

The price includes all ingredients on the day, a proofing basket, a dough scraper, and refreshments & sourdough pizza on the night.

The workshop is hosted by Alexandra from the Crows Rest Bakehouse in Wakefield, a micro-bakery making and selling bread without additives or improvers, with organic flours and traditional methods. http://thecrowsrestbakehouse.co.uk/
