This webinar is aimed at health and social care professionals and researchers, and is intended as an introduction to using Stata for quantitative analysis.

Vian Rajabzadeh will be giving a live practical demonstration of the available functionality and will discuss the advantages of using Stata over other software packages.

Stata is an integrated statistical package which includes tools for data analysis, data management and presentation. The ability to import data from a variety of sources, built-in spreadsheet functionality and publication-quality graphical outputs make Stata a powerful, flexible tool, and a popular choice of software for quantitative analysis at many research institutions.

By the end of this session you will have covered the following aspects of using Stata;

Importing data
Reviewing data
Restricting commands
Checking for duplicates
Data labelling and editing
Merging datasets

The dummy data-set used for the demonstration will be provided to attendees to try using the functions themselves. Please note that for the full benefit of this webinar, you will therefore need access to Stata.
