This introductory course will enable you to identify common symptoms people may experience at the end-of-life. It will build your skills in describing ways of helping to manage symptoms and promote comfort. You will be able to demonstrate awareness of medications that may be used for symptom control in palliative and end-of-life care.

You will learn the importance of respecting the individual’s wishes and priorities during symptom management and know when to report concerns to senior staff.
